This Greek Revival home established itself long before Minnesota’s statehood. The homeowners wished to respect the legacy of their 163-year old home while making small adjustments that make sense for modern family living. Great care and attention was paid to insulation and ventilation. Existing materials were reused wherever possible and architectural design decisions were made with the home’s original time period in mind. Modern additions include a lower-level media area, rear foyer, expansive kitchen, wine room, and twin porches. The result is a remodel with the best of modern improvements that preserves the heritage of this important Minnesota home.
