New Trends Making Homes Perfect for Autumn

The beautiful Midwest Autumn has officially begun, and we are enjoying every beautiful leaf changing color, cool crisp mornings, and bonfire filled evenings. Fall is 60% of Minnesota’s favorite season, so we do not mess around when it comes to enjoying every fall festivity. And with every new season come new building trends! Here are 5 of our favorite trends that are coming in hot this autumn!

1. Warm Floor Tones

The spring and summer was full of cool toned floors, but as fall begins we are seeing more people selecting warm toned floors with browns or greys that lay a neutral base for a home. Neutral tiles with clean lines have also been a popular selection when it comes to flooring!

2. Contemporary Hardware

A major trend we are seeing is copper and gold tones. These stunning tones add a rich tone to your cabinets, as well as adding a little extra luxury to your home. Another major perk of copper and gold is that the colors can pair with either light or dark cabinetry.

3. Luxurious Bathrooms

Bathrooms are no longer just viewed as a space for your basic personal care. Instead it has become a space to unwind after a long day of work, or treat yourself to a relaxing bath on a Friday night after the kids are in bed. Whether it's by adding a large soaking tub, or going all in with a Sauna, jacuzzi tub, and rain shower-- adding a luxurious bathroom to your home is a major trend we are seeing on the rise!

4. A Change in Lighting

Over the last few years we’ve been seeing a lot of cool metallic and gray tones when it comes to lighting. But this fall, we are starting to see more lighting with wood accents, and handcrafted metals. This is bringing warmth to the abundance of cooler tones we have seen trending over the last few seasons.

4. Modern Farmhouses

The last trend we wanted to shoutout is one that has been trending for a few years now. The Modern Farmhouse design is still a go to for many homeowners, and those who are looking to build, or remodel their own home. When it comes to achieving a modern farmhouse feel in your remodel, adding sliding barn doors, or other rustic or antique items. When it comes to building a new home with the end goal of a modern farmhouse, there are designers who will be able to guide you through the entire process to achieve the look you are going for!
