Kitchen Sink Options for Your Home

Let’s talk kitchen sinks. What are the different options? What is the best option for me? We hope to give you helpful information when it comes to selecting a kitchen sink for your home!

  1. Granite Composite Sink Granite composite sinks are made from crushed granite and resin. These sinks are durable, and stain resistant, as well as bringing a beautiful modern aesthetic into your kitchen. They are incredibly heavy though, so make sure to plan for extra structural support when choosing this sink!

  1. Undermount Sink Undermount sinks are installed under the countertop, giving a seamless, clean look. The sleek look is not the only major selling point of this sink type, but also the easy cleanup! You can just push debris straight into the sink without worrying about the lip.

  1. Farmhouse Sink Also known as an apron sink, this sink extends over the edge of your counter. Farmhouse sinks have gained popularity over the last decade in rustic or farmhouse inspired homes. They are typically made of fireclay or cast iron, making them incredibly durable and easy to clean!

  1. Stainless Steel If you are looking for a lightweight, easy to install sink-- a Stainless Steel Sink is the perfect option for you! There are many options for thickness, which affects the weight of the sink. Stainless steel sinks can be noisier than other sink materials, and they can also be dented. But a major pro is their heat and stain resistance.

  1. Drop in Sink A drop in sink is a versatile option due to its ability to be easily installed, and to be made of almost any material because weight doesn’t have to be taken into account due to its resting on the countertop. The only slight con to this sink type is the debris that can gather around the lip of the sink.

These are just a few of many sink options to choose from when building or remodeling your home!
