5 Design Trends for the Tile in your Home

When it comes to building a new home, or planning a remodel selecting tile can be overwhelming at times. With endless colors, shapes, and textures, it can be hard to make a final decision on what tile you want in your kitchen, bathroom, or anywhere else you’ve decided to put tile. Today we are going to share with you 5 of our favorite tile design trends in hopes of making your selection process a little easier.

1. Herringbone Tiles

We had to start with one of our very favorite tiles, herringbone. It is simple, yet brings a sense of elegance to any space. It looks beautiful as both flooring, or on your walls. It can truly transform any space into a sleek, classy room.

2. Matte Finish

Matte Finish tiles have been climbing in popularity at a rapid pace over the last few years. A major advantage of matte tiles, is that they don’t show smudges and watermarks as easily as tiles with a gloss finish. They bring a subtle boldness to a space, enhancing the aesthetic of your space. So whether you’re looking to bring a unique sense of elegance to a room, or seeking an earthy feel to your space, matte tiles are the way to go!

3. Marble or Stone Tile

Over the last year, marble and stone tile have been making a major comeback. As they adapt to a more contemporary style, people are selecting marble for more than just countertops. They can be used in any style of home, and can help you achieve many different aesthetics.

4. Industrial Elegance

Concrete or other rough looking stone tile options are a great, easy to install, low maintenance tile! If you are looking for an ultra modern, or an extra earthy feel, these tiles are for you!

5. Glimmer and Shimmer

This is a more unique tile option, but they add a special touch to your space. You can find endless tiles with little sparkly gold streaks, or even subtle gemstone flecks. You can also achieve this look by incorporating pieces of cut glass, or mother of pearl.

Whether you’ve been working from home over the last few months or you just need something new in your living space, these are 5 simple ways to revamp your living space quickly and easily.
